About This Park Community
Māmowimīwēyitamōwin is a Cree phrase meaning “gathering of happiness and joy.” The name is pronounced: maah-mo-wih-me-way-ih-tuh-mo-win.
The small-dog area is one of two distinct off-leash communities at this location. OLDPUG treats the small-dog and all-dog areas separately because they have different users, representatives and priorities.
Small-Dog Eligibility
Size is only part of the decision. Park users are responsible for determining whether the small-dog area is appropriate for their dog’s behaviour, comfort and play style.

The off-leash area is located within the larger Māmowimīwēyitamōwin Park complex.
On-street parking is available along McKinley Avenue.
Keep dogs leashed while travelling between parked vehicles and the off-leash entrance.
The off-leash dog park is fully fenced.
Additional local information about entrances, gate layout and the boundary between the small-dog and all-dog areas will be added here.
Information about the surface, shade, seating, water, bag dispensers, waste bins and seasonal conditions will be added with input from park users.
